With over 50 years of experience in the field of creative photography, Atanu Paul stands as a true pioneer and visionary. His exceptional body of work includes over 1,000 photographs awarded in various prestigious national and international exhibitions.
Atanu is the founder of “Third Eye,” India’s first straight photography activist group, which has been active for over 40 years. This initiative has significantly contributed to the recognition and evolution of photography as a fine art form in India.
In 1983, he made history by editing and publishing the first Bengali photography magazine in India, further solidifying his role as a leader in the photographic community. His work has been featured in numerous global journals, newspapers, and prestigious exhibitions, including collectors’ editions of National Geographic (USA), the National Geographic calendars in France, and the cover page of National Geographic South Korea’s exhibition.
A Grand Prize winner of the Quebec University of Canada, Atanu Paul has also had his work published in Popular Photography (USA) and the Chinese edition of National Geographic, which was exhibited in Russia. His photographs continue to showcase his unparalleled talent and dedication to the art of photography.
